Initially commissioned as a One-Off Pinot Noir release for top NZ winemaker Rod Macdonald, the design for these labels is a response to the simple question I posed: If this wine was a person, what would they look like? Enter Monsieur Pinot: a confident gentleman of noble French heritage, decorated in rich burgundy tones with floral and berry top notes. Following Monsieur Pinot's success, further Monsieurs were illustrated in this fashion - that is, as responses to the tasting notes of the wines they would adorn. So far, RMW has released 10 Monsieurs. It's the French Invasion.
