Elephant Hill is a world-renowned wine producer, with a winery and cellar door located in Te Awanga, Hawke's Bay, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. I was asked to create a new label for a special summer release of sparkling rosé. It needed to be bold, fresh and contemporary, but also draw on the existing Elephant Hill story to create something that felt like 'part of the family'. Inspired by the distinct geometric forms and colours of the building and its position on the waterfront, I created a simple illustration which depicts the building and its relationship with the ocean, the vines and Cape Kidnappers.
